Start outside London Road Stores near the A4/A36 junction.

Walk away from the junction, staying on the same side of the London Road until you reach the Morrisons turning.

Cross the side road and follow the path to the supermarket entrance.

Head diagonally left across the car park to the gateway into Kensington Meadows.

Turn left through the gate, stopping at the first bench, then follow the edge of the field that borders the river towards the children's play area.

Head down the slope and continue along the riverside path until you reach the steps.

Turn right at the top of the steps and then right again to reach the bench and go over the bridge.

Pass under the railway bridge and take the left fork in the path and go up the steps.

Arrive at the towpath and sit on the bench.
